History of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 6625 62nd Court North, Birmingham, Alabama 1943-1975
compiled by Sister Ethel Bowens and committee
Birmingham, Alabama: the church, 1975; with 29 pages + slightly stiffer printed paper covers; finished size is 8
    1/2
x 11 inches = opens to approx. 17 x 11 inches for reading or perusal. Illustrated with halftone photos.
The book is partially printed and partially mimeographed. Printing was used for the covers and the pages that feature photos, (9 including covers).
Actually a much more substantive church history than many black church histories I’ve handled in my 60 years of selling “old stuff.” And this one has absolutely no ads – again a bit unusual for black church histories done in the south.
Good only but still sound and printed on decent quality paper; fraying around edges of cover (NO TEXT IS LOST); rear cover detached but still present; a few other pages are loosening and 1 of them MAY come loose by the time the history gets to you :-/ in the mail. Pages are oddly numbered (the numbering starts over several times in the course of reading the booklet, apparently depending on which section of the history your reading, and some pages aren’t numbered at all and one is numbered “7” and the next page is numbered “7A” but text runs smoothly and continuously throughout the book.
